About the Workshop:

Under the expert direction of local floral designer and event planner, Jen Harthorn of Jen’s Blossoms, you’ll receive professional advice and guidance that will help you assemble a stunning fall arrangement. It’s a piece that’s sure to be a conversation starter at your Thanksgiving table!

All levels of experience and ages welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Photos from previous fall, spring, and summer floral arranging workshops are shown here to provide you insight into this class. Actual flowers, vessels, and supplies will vary based on seasonal availability. 

What You’ll Learn:

1. Arrangement Foundations: Dive into the essentials of floral arrangement, including an introduction to various vessel types, arranging tools, and mechanics. Discover how to select the ideal container for your display.
2. Design Concepts: Uncover the key principles of floral design such as color harmony, proportion, and emphasis. We’ll navigate through different motifs and aesthetics to assist you in crafting an arrangement that captures your personal touch for the holidays.
3. Flower and Foliage Selection: Learn to pick the finest seasonal flowers and complementary greenery for your arrangement, featuring a bounty of local blooms and textured elements. We’ll discuss how to source high-quality botanicals while considering eco-friendly practices.
4. Assembly Techniques: Gain confidence in the techniques of placing and securing stems within your arrangement. Hands-on guidance will provide you with the skills to ensure your centerpiece remains vibrant and well-structured.
5. Care and Preservation: We’ll share insider tips on how to maintain your floral arrangement, ensuring it remains fresh and stunning for days.
6. Troubleshooting: No stem out of place here—we’ll tackle common floral arrangement pitfalls and share effective solutions to help you refine your masterpiece.

TICKETS ARE TRANSFERABLE BUT NON-REFUNDABLE. If you cannot make it for any reason, unfortunately due to the cost of materials and staffing, we cannot offer refunds. But you are welcome to give/sell your ticket to someone else. 

Please note if we do not have a minimum of 6 people registered for the workshop, we will cancel and refund your registration fee. We do ask that participants under the age of 12 be accompanied by a registered adult at all times.

Jen Harthorn has over a decade of experience working in the floral design industry and a lifetime of experience planning and designing birthday parties, showers, weddings and celebrations for family and friends.
