Our Hand Stitched Journal workshop is truly an original and will be lead by our own Brooke Goans of Originals Paper Art (and wonderful team member at Paper Luxe Gig Harbor).
This workshop is an introduction to hand stitched bookbinding. Step-by-step you will hand make an original journal with a traditional design and bindery stitch that will open easily and lay flat on any surface. Participants will prepare the cover with decorative paper, punch and sew five signatures into the spine and lastly glue the inside covers in place.
You will also learn about embellishments for future journals. Participants get to choose their page style at registration… blank, line, grid or dot. You’ll receive an email from us after registering, asking your preference.
ALL supplies and bookbinding tools (paper bone, awl, needle and clips) are included in your registration fee and provided during the class.
